Every year I always compete in one of my races, to help raise money for one of my favorite non-profits, Charity Water. This year I'll be competing again in the OUC Half Marathon that takes place on December 4, 2020, in Orlando, Florida, and I'll be running in this race to help raise money for Charity Water.
Charity Water is doing AMAZING work around the globe to help end the clean water crisis. Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We all have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean! However, many people around the world do not have this same luxury.
Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who is willing to help me.

100% of the money from all Charity Water campaigns is used to build clean water projects. When the project has been completed, charity: water will send you the photos and the GPS coordinates of the well that you helped to build so that you can see the exact community that we all helped with this campaign.
Spring
My twin sister and I wanted to give money towards my mom's Charity water campaign because we know that she is running a marathon to bring awareness about the need for clean water and I wanted to help her, so I gave her my $20 monthly allowance so that it could help provide clean water to people that need clean water in another country.
I watched the Charity Water video and saw that a little girl was able to make a huge difference in a community and I thought that it was so sad that she died, before the campaign was finished, but I also thought that it was so amazing that she was wanting to help provide clean to people that really need it. And I knew that my Mom was doing a marathon again this year to raise money for Charity water, so I felt like God asked me to give her $25 towards her campaign, after I watched the video, so that I could also help provide clean water to someone.
