Why Cardboard Shell is fundraising for clean water

Oops, I did it again... I set up a charity:water campaign that closed before the 4th of July Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest! (On the plus side, the other campaign raised $1,355 before it timed out! https://my.charitywater.org/cardboardshell/38-hot-dogs-for-38-people)

So here's another chance to donate, in case you were saving it for after the 4th.

Why are we doing this:
Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.
EVERY DAY. That sucks. A lot.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. We can help provide a drilled well, spring protection or BioSand filter to bring clean water to communities around the world!

Last year, at the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island, I ate 32.5 hot dogs in 10 minutes. And it took a lot of training, that I wouldn't have been able to man-up to, if it wasn't for your donations to help people get clean water for life. You save lives, I eat hot dogs. That's the deal.

So this year, my goal is to up my abilities and eat an extra plate of hot dogs. That's 38 hot dogs in 10 minutes. And it's going to require a lot of work. But it's work I'll gladly put in if we can help 38 people get clean water for life, and save them from being another sad statistic.

I hope you'll join me, and help me reach both of these goals.

As always, 100% of donations to directly to the field, so that means every penny you donate will go towards building wells and saving lives.

Thank you for caring!
