Why Cardboard Shell is fundraising for clean water

I'm sad.

I'm remarkably sad, actually. Life has thrown me some curveballs, to say the least. But I know that in the grand scheme of things, this sadness doesn't match the sadness felt by others at this moment.

Because people died today.

They may have been parents, children, brothers, sisters, wives, husbands, the love of someone's life. And they died only because they weren't fortunate enough to be born in a place with access to clean water and sanitation.

If you've ever lost someone dear to you, you know that it's the worst sadness imaginable.

When I'm feeling sad or anxious or stressed out about a situation out of my control, I get restless. I get the feeling that I need to do something that IS in my control. Usually, that's cleaning the house. Today, it's helping people get clean water.

Just $20 can give someone access to clean, safe water. My goal is to raise $550 so I can feel a little less sad by helping to keep other people from becoming sad as well.

charity: water will use 100% of the money to directly fund the water projects in the field. I hope you'll consider helping.
