Throughout most of my day, I can get to clean drinking water in 10 steps or less. But over 600 million people in the world have to walk over 10 kilometers to reach their nearest water source. And often, that water is dirty and leads to illness.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

In fact, together, since 2011, team Cardboard Shell has contributed to campaigns that have helped bring clean water to over 6,000 people.

So it's time to do more. To help more.

I'm back on my Long Road to Coney. I just finished my Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Qualifier Contest in Las Vegas, finishing 29 hot dogs in 10 minutes. So far, the 30 mark has eluded me. But this year will be different.

With your help, I will train hard. For every $100 we raise, I will film a training session, working hard to hit over 30 hot dogs. To meet that goal, I need your help to hit 10 training sessions by July.

For me, it's a Long Road to Coney, but for 50 people, it will mean a short walk for water.

Without this motivation, training is hard. I have lots of excuses. But with you on my side, helping people get clean water, those excuses go right down the drain.
